As our summer comes to an end, I sit with the sun on my bare skin, reflecting on the time we have shared. There were crazy nights that ran well into the early mornings and then there were days we enjoyed the sun set and fell asleep in each other’s arms. The view of the sun rise as we sat on the beach bed, drinking coffee and enjoying the silence, the sweet smell of the ocean after a rain, and the sounds of the waves breaking against the seashore were my favorite times spent with you. The summer we had is one worth remembering and one I hope to experience again. I’ll wear your blue shirt when I need to feel your hugs and I hope this goodbye is not forever.
